Painting Projects Across Rochester, NY's Eastern Suburbs
Recent interior, exterior, and staining projects Bates Brothers Painting has completed across Pittsford, Brighton, Fairport, Victor, and Honeoye Falls. Filter by service type below.
Our Recent Work
A full-interior repaint on a Pittsford colonial with original wood trim that needed careful masking. A Brighton dining room with historic gumwood that we restored rather than painted over. A Fairport family kitchen brought from dated beige to a modern warm white with new trim enamel. A Victor primary bedroom painted around a young family without disrupting the household schedule.
The Owner You'll Actually Work With
Interior Painting Problems We Solve
"Every corner needs patching and I keep putting it off"
Drywall damage adds up quietly. Bates Brothers patches all of it as part of the interior scope. You don't hire us to paint and then hire a drywall guy separately. It's one project, one crew, one number.
"The last painters were a mess and I don't want that again"
Drop cloths go down before the first tool comes out. Furniture gets covered and moved as little as possible. The crew cleans up at the end of every work day so you're not living around a job site. That's the whole point of hiring a real interior painter.
"The color I picked last time looked completely different once it was up"
Color reads differently on a wall than on a chip. Sample it in real light before you commit. Bates Brothers offers a color consultation as an add-on and keeps a color-selection guide on the site to help you avoid this mistake.
"I want to live in my house while it's being painted"
You can. Interior projects are staged to keep rooms usable. We work in a way that lets you keep cooking, sleeping, and living normally while the project is happening around you.
What Makes Us Different
How an Interior Project Actually Runs
Max comes to your home, walks the rooms with you, and asks about scope, timing, color direction, and any drywall condition that needs to be addressed. You get a written estimate.
Once you approve, we lock in a firm start date. Interior projects are less weather-dependent than exterior projects, so the calendar tends to hold.
Furniture gets moved to the center of each room or into an adjacent space, covered with drop cloths, and floors get fully protected. Fixtures, outlet covers, and hardware get masked or removed. Then drywall patching, sanding, caulking edges where trim meets wall, and spot-priming where primer is needed. Prep is the reason the finish looks the way it does.
Cuts first for sharp lines at the ceiling, trim, and corners. Then rolling for the field. Two coats where two coats belong. Trim gets its own pass with the trim enamel. At the end of each work day, tools get packed up, drop cloths get folded back or repositioned, and floors get vacuumed if needed. The house stays livable through the project.
Max walks the finished rooms with you. Anything you want touched up gets touched up. Then you get the written 3-year interior warranty, in your name, signed by Max.

Projects From Every City We Serve
The gallery includes projects from Pittsford (the anchor market), Brighton, Fairport, Victor, and Honeoye Falls. Every project in the gallery was done by the same small crew, run by the same owner, backed by the same written warranty. That consistency across neighborhoods is what a service-area business is supposed to look like.
Each city in the service area has its own housing character, and the gallery reflects that. Pittsford projects tend toward cedar exteriors on larger colonials. Brighton projects tend toward brick-and-clapboard combinations and interior work on older homes with original trim. Fairport projects range from village-era wood-siding homes to newer subdivision builds. Victor projects lean toward vinyl and cement-board exteriors on newer construction. Honeoye Falls projects tend to be larger-scope with more surface area to prep and paint.

Every Project in the Gallery Came With a Written Warranty
Every exterior project shown in the gallery was completed with a written 5-year warranty. Every interior project was completed with a written 3-year warranty. Both were handed to the homeowner in person at the final walkthrough, signed by Max, and issued in their name.
The projects in the gallery are documented proof of the work. The warranty is the accountability behind it.
